Jessica said “In my mind I counted in 5s.” The learners were given a Maths problem to solve. They were given the option to either work independently or in group of two. Jessica was curious to work independently and solve the problem by herself. She used grouping strategy and counted in 5s to solve the given problem.

Evidence of learning

Connected-Jessica was using her prior knowledge to solve the problem. Collaborative- Jessica showed collaboration as she carefully listened to and followed the instructions straight way. Curious- Jessica was curious to work independently and solve the problem by herself. Capable- Jessica displayed her capability by solving the problem correctly using the grouping strategy .
